Life from Art was founded, and is run, by David & Hannie Wilkinson. After careers in business and working with children, respectively, David & Hannie have identified a way to use artwork made by children in care around the world to help fund charities that care for these children.

David & Hannie
Their idea originated from a business network visit to Thailand, where the organisers arranged for a local orphanage to produce art that was sold to the attendees through a silent auction. The funds raised were sufficient to build a new roof for the orphanage. David & Hannie have always enjoyed art in its various forms and participated enthusiastically in the auction. However, they were also aware that this income was a one-off and would not be sustainable for the orphanage.
Life from Art provides that sustainability. It is a registered charity in the United Kingdom, which returns 90% of the net proceeds from selling children’s art through its global online platform directly to the charities that care for them. We have automated as many processes as possible to ensure that our overhead costs are kept to a minimum and that the best return can be made to the organisations that look after children.
