Peruvian Survivors

We have recently received some pictures by children in the care of Kiya Survivors in Peru. All the children are living in the Rainbow Centre in Urubamba, near Cuzco, which caters for kids with special needs, or those who have been abused or abandoned. The centre helps them gain independence through education, therapy and love.

As Suzy Butler, founder and Managing Director, puts it, “Seeing children that have been locked up or had the most horrendous home situation or abuse and have never been understood, finally find a place where they are loved and understood – you can’t beat it.” Suzy is based in the UK, but founded Kiya Survivors after visiting South America on her gap year and she spends two months there every year.

The children’s pictures speak of the most important things in their lives: their new home and new family!
